The Real ID is supposedly supposed to make Americans safer, but just takes them one step closer to a National ID and then a world ID.

The NYTimes, in a January 12, 2008 story says

The federal government issued national standards on Friday that states would have to meet in order for driver’s licenses they issue to qualify as identification at airports and federal buildings, setting the stage for a confrontation with states that have voted not to cooperate.

I was just wondering earlier when the US was going to remove “land of the free” from the lyrics of their national anthem seeing as how they keep allowing their government to make policies that take away their freedoms.

Is it just me, or do the citizens of the United States just not get it? My opinion? they’re watching too much tv and simply tuning out while they’re tuning in.

Another buddy wrote a Halloween Workout using pumpkins, hay bales and other odds and ends from the holiday he found around his house.

A single pumpkin that cost $3 has provided enough for 3 recipes and over 30 servings. That’s a pretty good ROI if you ask me.

One recipe we created was a Spiced Pumpkin Apple Curry and the most recent was a Smokin’ Pumpkin and Corn Chowder. We still have one more left to make, and the one I’m most looking forward to, Darlene’s Spiced Pumpkin Pancakes.

I gotta say, I love curry and so far, the Pumpkin Apple Curry is my favorite. Made with Pumpkin and Butternut squash and apples. Mmmmm,

From what I know, most people carve their pumpkins, put a candle in them, place them in the window for Halloween night and then throw them away. I mean this is a popular time of the year for pumpkins. There are many great deals on pumpkins especially after Halloween night. Buy them, carve them up into freezable portions and then eat them over the next few weeks or months.

If you’re not familiar with pumpkins as food, pumpkins are a member of the squash family just as Spaghetti squash, Butternut squash, Acorn squash and the one you’re probably most familiar with, the Zucchini.

I often get a lot of questions about what it’s like living in Canada. Yes, we use snowmobiles to get around from igloo to igloo and we use whale blubber to power our generators for our internet connections.

We also get out when it’s nice enough and watch the women playing hockey now and then. The nice thing about it being so cold here all the time is that the ice never melts and we can play hockey year round.

I have a secret. It’s something that I’m not allowed to talk about, but I wanted to talk about it anyway.. he he…How do you write about something that you can’t talk about? I was setting something up for one of my blogs when I was invited to participate in a Top Secret program. I had to agree that I would not tell anyone about it, so I did. The potential for a lot of money coming my way (more than normal I mean) is there, so I don’t want to screw with it.

It’s related to something you probably already know about, but they launched a very lucrative program that I was invited to participate in. I’m told that it will take a few days to kick into gear and then it begins to produce. I’ll let you know how it’s going and then update this if I’m ever allowed to talk about it.

3. I created my former fat guy Squidoo lens – They’re really quite neat how they work.

4. I added some before and after pictures to my weight loss blog. I have it set to pick from 8 different “after” pictures randomly and then display it below my “before” picture

5. Was asked to contact by Chris Brogan to contact Kevin Kennedy-Spaien over at Health Hacks Podcast about doing a podcast for them on a bi-monthly basis. Kevin is the producer of the show and had a look around my websites former fat guy and my weight loss blog. He decided that I was indeed a good match for the show. I haven’t done any radio or podcast work since my former fat guy show back in 2003, so this will be a nice launch for my own podcast. I’ll let you know when that happens. In the mean time, check out the show:

6. I mentioned in a previous post about my new Make Money With Rob program. Excellent – get involved.

7. I’m working on a Scavenger Hunt program for my former fat guy website. Prizes can be won for finding the monthly scavenger hunt item.

8. I launched my Create A Blog website called Blog Building Basics. It’s still in the beginning phases, but will be the place for my Create A Blog book when I finish it.

Each of these websites show some great article announcements and such. They’re filled with article’s from the authors which then allow you to go to their websites and read the entire stories. Topics vary according to each website, but include money, finance, weight loss, parenting, writing, sports, golf, fishing etc.

Here they are: Hot Spot Blogs, Announced Blogs, I Seek Articles and one “odd” one on internet marketing.

Then… then… she gave me my birthday gift.  She got me a thumb ring made of some sort of special metal from metalsmiths in west edmonton mall.  I’ve promised to get her my DVD of “the secret” as a christmas gift for her.  I’ve told her to watch it a number of times because of how powerful the secret really is.

I had a really shitty christmas last year when I was with my girlfriend.  I spent a lot of time and energy (and love) to create an amazing gift for her and I got a toy car and some personal toiletries.  Kinda wrecked the energy that year for me and I should have know we weren’t on the same page. 

So this year, I am already so thrilled with my christmas gift.  Not quite a homemade christmas gift idea, but awesome, amazing.  I’m very happy.

Update: I realize now after I wrote this post and got the comment, that I had not considered what the intention was around the toy car.  And also that I celebrated Christmas in Arizona a few weeks later and got one of my most prized possessions, a very special earring.  This earring has gotten my more touches from women as well as comments due to it’s special design.  I’ve worn it faithfully now for almost a year and I see no time soon in which I will change it up.  Thank you for the great gift Sonja.
